NASA’s launch headquarters, the center offers tours of launch areas (see a live "blast-off" if you're there at the right time), giant rocket displays, the chance to meet a real-life Astronaut and the Shuttle Launch Experience, a 60-million-dollar attraction that allows guests to train in a simulator and launch into orbit aboard a space shuttle. Garden Grove
Leave the synthetic theme park world behind for the natural beauty of Harry P. Leu Gardens. Covering some 50 acres, the former home of Harry P. Leu, one of Florida's most successful businessmen at the turn of the 20th century, has one of the largest camellia collections in the country and the state's largest formal rose garden. One of Central Florida's oldest attractions, Gatorland® is both a theme park and wildlife preserve. Also known also the 'Alligator Capital of the World," this 110-acre park is home to not only gators, but birds, bears and cuddly critters. The park's unique entertainments include the Gator Jumparoo Show, in which you'll get to see some of the largest alligators in the world jump four to five feet out of the water to retrieve food; and "Gator Wrestlin',' featuring gator wranglers catching huge alligators by hand.
