Hi I'm David Neeleman,Founder and Chairman of JetBlue Airways. Each week I fly on JetBlue flights and talk to customers so I can find out how we can improve our airline. This is my flight log... Happy New Year!2007 is going to be another great year for JetBlue customers. By March, we will have 36 inches of legroom in the front of our A320 cabins (rows 12-25 will still have the roomy 34 inches – better than what you’ll find on most airlines!). And if you’re flying one of our E190 aircraft, you’ll get 31 or 32 inches of legroom, and no middle seat. JetBlue is going to start the year off right, with new service to Chicago’s O’Hare airport from both New York/JFK and LA/Long Beach. We will probably start service to 6-8 new cities in 2007 – and you can tell us where to fly by clicking here. From all of us at JetBlue, we wish you and you family a very happy New Year, and we look forward to welcoming you on board very soon. -David Happy Holidays! On behalf of everyone at JetBlue, we wish you, your family and friends a very happy holiday season. If you’re flying JetBlue to be with your loved ones this year, we look forward to welcoming you on board and making your trip as special as your time with your family. Most of JetBlue’s crewmembers will be working over this holiday weekend, as will the professionals in aviation that make it possible for airlines to operate safely every day of the year, from the air traffic controllers to the airport authorities and of course our business partners who provide everything from curbside service to making sure our flights are stocked with your favorite snacks and beverages. Airline people are some of the most selfless people I know, dedicated to making sure your travel is safe, reliable and pleasant. It’s an honor to work with them, and special thanks go to JetBlue’s 11,000+ crewmembers for making sure you like us enough to come back. Happy Holidays! -David You deserve more… at least four inches moreHere at JetBlue, we think you deserve more for your money… at least four inches more! Yes, I’m talking about more legroom. We announced today that by March 2007, we will add four more inches of legroom to the first 11 rows of our A320 aircraft. Rows 1-11 will have at least 36-inch pitch, and rows 12-25 will have 34-inch pitch – two inches more than what you’ll typically find on “Brand X” airline. Back when we were still just talking about making JetBlue a reality, we decided then and there that our mission was to “Bring Humanity Back to Air Travel,” and this is another major step we are taking to make sure your JetBlue Experience is the best you’ve ever had. We think flying should be as fun as the destination – it shouldn’t be a chore or a punishment, but sadly, many people don’t have higher expectations of their typical airline. If you’ve ever flown JetBlue, you know there’s a difference when you step on board one of our jets. From free TV to friendly inflight crewmembers, to pilots who make their public addresses from the front galley, so they can see our great customers, we do things a little differently and we always aim to please. Let us know how we’re doing, and I look forward to seeing you on one of our MORE LEGROOM aircraft starting in January! -David |
